The Moxa EDS-G516E Series firmware versions 5.2 and below contains a hard-coded cryptographic key embedded in the firmware binary. This static key is used to protect confidential data through encryption, but because the same key exists in all affected devices and cannot be changed by administrators, anyone who obtains or reverses the firmware can decrypt all encrypted data communication and storage on these devices.
