Official description Straight from the sourceThe vendor's or NVD's own wording, published unedited. Authoritative, but often terse — it says what broke, rarely what to do.

NVD · unedited
ELECOM WRC-1467GHBK-A allows arbitrary scripts to be executed on the user's web browser by displaying a specially crafted SSID on the web setup page.

Technical summary Written by usOur analysis, written from the advisory, the CVSS vector and the affected-version data. It adds context the advisory leaves out, and never invents facts that are not in the source.

dbcve analysis · high confidence

This is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the ELECOM WRC-1467GHBK-A router's web setup page. An attacker can inject malicious JavaScript code into the wireless network name (SSID) field. When legitimate users access the router's configuration interface, the unsanitized SSID is rendered in the browser, causing the attacker's script to execute in the context of the user's session.

MitigationUpdate the router to the latest firmware version provided by ELECOM. If no patch is available, restrict access to the router's web interface and avoid viewing the setup page while unknown SSIDs are within range.

Verify against the referenced sources before acting — the references below are authoritative for this CVE, this summary is not.

Am I affected? How to checkSteps we derive from the advisory and the affected-version data, so you can decide whether this CVE reaches your setup. They are a guide, not a scan — your own configuration is the authority.

dbcve checks

Work through these to decide whether this CVE applies to you.

  1. Identify router model
Check the device label or web interface for the exact model number WRC-1467GHBK-A
Affected if The device is an ELECOM WRC-1467GHBK-A router
  2. Confirm web interface access
Access the router's web setup page by entering the router's IP address in a browser (typically 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1)
Affected if The router's web configuration interface is accessible
  3. Check wireless SSID configuration
Navigate to the wireless settings page in the router admin panel and inspect the SSID field
Affected if The SSID field exists and accepts input (all versions are affected)
  4. Verify SSID rendering
View the wireless status or client list page where SSIDs are displayed and check if the SSID value is rendered without encoding
Affected if The SSID is displayed in the browser without sanitization

If you are using an ELECOM WRC-1467GHBK-A router with its web interface accessible, you are affected since all firmware versions contain the vulnerability.
