  2. 2. For direct Slurm installations: Upgrade to Slurm version 21.08.08 or later (recommended: latest stable 21.08.x or migrate to 22.05.x+)
  3. 3. For Fedora systems: Run 'dnf update slurm' to obtain the patched package for your Fedora version (34, 35, or 36)
  4. 4. After upgrading, restart the slurmctld and slurmd services in the correct order: stop all services, then start slurmctld first, followed by slurmd nodes
  5. 5. Verify the new version is running with 'slurmctl -V' and confirm access controls are functioning as expected
