Official description Straight from the sourceThe vendor's or NVD's own wording, published unedited. Authoritative, but often terse — it says what broke, rarely what to do.

NVD · unedited

Attackers can add arbitrary JavaScript code inside “Operation” graphics and successfully exploit any number of publicly known vulnerabilities against the version of the embedded Chromium-based browser.

Technical summary Written by usOur analysis, written from the advisory, the CVSS vector and the affected-version data. It adds context the advisory leaves out, and never invents facts that are not in the source.

V02.20.126.11-41 (for most models) or V02.20.126.11-37 (for Pxg3.w100-1 and Pxg3.w200-1)

  1. 1. Identify the exact model and current firmware version of your Desigo PXM or PXG3 device using the device management interface or physical label.
  2. 2. Navigate to the Siemens ProductCERT website or access the patch document at https://cert-portal.siemens.com/productcert/pdf/ssa-360783.pdf to obtain the correct firmware version.
  3. 3. For Desigo Pxm30-1, Pxm30.e, Pxm40-1, Pxm40.e, Pxm50-1, Pxm50.e devices: upgrade firmware to version V02.20.126.11-41 or later.
  4. 4. For Pxg3.w100-1 and Pxg3.w200-1 devices: upgrade firmware to version V02.20.126.11-37 or later.
  5. 5. For Pxg3.w100-2 and Pxg3.w200-2 devices: upgrade firmware to version V02.20.126.11-41 or later.
  6. 6. Follow Siemens' standard firmware upgrade procedure for your specific device (typically via the device's web interface or management software).
  7. 7. After upgrade, verify the device is running the patched firmware version and confirm the Chromium browser is no longer running with root privileges and the --no-sandbox flag.
Caveat Review Siemens upgrade documentation for any configuration considerations; firmware upgrades on building automation devices may temporarily disrupt connected HVAC/building control operations
