Official description Straight from the sourceThe vendor's or NVD's own wording, published unedited. Authoritative, but often terse — it says what broke, rarely what to do.

NVD · unedited
Substance3D - Stager versions 3.1.5 and earlier are affected by an out-of-bounds read vulnerability when parsing a crafted file, which could result in a read past the end of an allocated memory structure. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.

Technical summary Written by usOur analysis, written from the advisory, the CVSS vector and the affected-version data. It adds context the advisory leaves out, and never invents facts that are not in the source.

dbcve analysis · high confidence

Substance3D Stager versions 3.1.5 and earlier contain an out-of-bounds read vulnerability when parsing specially crafted files. The vulnerability occurs due to insufficient bounds checking during file parsing, allowing reading past the end of allocated memory structures. An attacker can exploit this by convincing a user to open a malicious file, potentially achieving code execution in the context of the current user.

MitigationUsers should avoid opening files from untrusted sources. Organizations should update Substance3D Stager to a version newer than 3.1.5 once a patched release is available from Adobe.

Verify against the referenced sources before acting — the references below are authoritative for this CVE, this summary is not.
