Official description Straight from the sourceThe vendor's or NVD's own wording, published unedited. Authoritative, but often terse — it says what broke, rarely what to do.

NVD · unedited
nebula-mesh is a self-hosted control plane for Slack Nebula mesh virtual private network. Prior to version 0.3.1, none of the response paths in `internal/web/` or `internal/api/` set the standard browser-security headers. `grep` for `Content-Security-Policy`, `X-Frame-Options`, `Strict-Transport-Security`, `X-Content-Type-Options`, `Referrer-Policy` returns zero matches across the codebase. Version 0.3.1 fixes the issue.

Technical summary Written by usOur analysis, written from the advisory, the CVSS vector and the affected-version data. It adds context the advisory leaves out, and never invents facts that are not in the source.

Remediation Closing itWhat it takes to close this. Where a vendor fix exists we point at it; where none exists we say so plainly, and can build one. Effort estimates are scoped from the advisory, not from your codebase.

Recommended fix High confidence

0.3.1

  1. 1. Identify the current nebula-mesh version currently deployed (e.g., check binary version, container tag, or package version)
  2. 2. Review the nebula-mesh 0.3.1 release notes for any breaking changes or migration requirements
  3. 3. Create a backup of the current configuration and data directory
  4. 4. Stop the nebula-mesh service
  5. 5. Upgrade to version 0.3.1 (download the release for your installation method - binary, container image, or package manager)
  6. 6. Restore the configuration if needed from the backup
  7. 7. Start the nebula-mesh service
  8. 8. Verify the fix by checking that security headers are now present in responses (Content-Security-Policy, X-Frame-Options, Strict-Transport-Security, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy)
Caveat Review 0.3.1 release notes; no breaking changes mentioned in description but minor version upgrades may include behavior changes
