CVE-2026-77070
Official description Straight from the sourceThe vendor's or NVD's own wording, published unedited. Authoritative, but often terse — it says what broke, rarely what to do.
NVD · uneditedn8n before 1.123.69, 2.33.4, and 2.34.1 contains a NoSQL injection vulnerability in the MongoDB node's Find, Delete, and Aggregate operations, which parse the Query parameter as JSON after expression resolution without sanitizing MongoDB operators. An attacker who can influence the resolved query (e.g., via externally-controlled data) can inject operators such as $ne or $where, turning an intended single-document lookup into full-collection disclosure, full-collection deletion, or other operations on the database server.
Technical summary Written by usOur analysis, written from the advisory, the CVSS vector and the affected-version data. It adds context the advisory leaves out, and never invents facts that are not in the source.

CVSS breakdown How the score is builtThe industry scoring standard. It rates how the flaw is reached, what it takes to exploit, and what an attacker gains — the score is derived from those, not the other way round.

Remediation Closing itWhat it takes to close this. Where a vendor fix exists we point at it; where none exists we say so plainly, and can build one. Effort estimates are scoped from the advisory, not from your codebase.
dbcve · scopedn8n version 1.123.69 (for 1.x) or version 2.34.1 (for 2.x)
- Identify your current n8n installation version by checking the UI or running 'n8n --version'
- If running version 1.x, upgrade to version 1.123.69 or later
- If running version 2.x, upgrade to version 2.34.1 or later
- Use your package manager (npm, docker, or your deployment method) to install the updated version
- Restart the n8n service after upgrading
- Verify the MongoDB node operations work correctly with your existing workflows

There is no version to upgrade to and no patch to apply. Every affected install stays exposed until the vendor ships a fix — or somebody else builds one.

The advisory tells you what broke. It rarely tells you what actually worked. If you’ve dealt with this one, that detail is what the next engineer is searching for.
- The version that genuinely resolved it — not the one the vendor claimed
- A config change or rule that shut the vector down
- A gotcha in the upgrade path that cost you an afternoon
