Official description Straight from the sourceThe vendor's or NVD's own wording, published unedited. Authoritative, but often terse — it says what broke, rarely what to do.

NVD · unedited
Combodo iTop is a web based IT Service Management tool. In iTop before versions 2.7.2 and 3.0.0, admin pages are cached, so that their content is visible after deconnection by using the browser back button. This is fixed in versions 2.7.2 and 3.0.0.

Technical summary Written by usOur analysis, written from the advisory, the CVSS vector and the affected-version data. It adds context the advisory leaves out, and never invents facts that are not in the source.

dbcve analysis · high confidence

In Combodo iTop before versions 2.7.2 and 3.0.0, admin pages are cached by the browser without proper cache-control headers. After a user logs out, the browser back button can still display the cached content of previously viewed administrative pages, leading to sensitive information disclosure.

MitigationUpgrade iTop to version 2.7.2 or 3.0.0. As a workaround, configure the web server to send no-cache headers (Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate, Pragma: no-cache) on all admin pages.

Verify against the referenced sources before acting — the references below are authoritative for this CVE, this summary is not.

Am I affected? How to checkSteps we derive from the advisory and the affected-version data, so you can decide whether this CVE reaches your setup. They are a guide, not a scan — your own configuration is the authority.

dbcve checks

Work through these to decide whether this CVE applies to you.

  1. Identify installed iTop version
Locate the version file in the iTop installation directory and read the version number, or access the iTop about page if available
Affected if The installed version is before 2.7.2 or exactly 3.0.0
  2. Verify cache-control headers on admin pages
Make an HTTP request to an administrative page (such as the user administration or configuration pages) and inspect the response headers for Cache-Control and Pragma directives
Affected if The response headers do not include Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate and Pragma: no-cache
  3. Test browser back button after logout
Log into the iTop admin interface, navigate to several admin pages, log out, then attempt to navigate back using the browser back button
Affected if Previously viewed administrative pages are displayed from cache after logging out

The environment is affected if the installed iTop version is less than 2.7.2 or exactly 3.0.0, and admin pages can be viewed via browser history after logout due to missing cache-control headers.
