Official description Straight from the sourceThe vendor's or NVD's own wording, published unedited. Authoritative, but often terse — it says what broke, rarely what to do.

Technical summary Written by usOur analysis, written from the advisory, the CVSS vector and the affected-version data. It adds context the advisory leaves out, and never invents facts that are not in the source.

dbcve analysis · high confidence

Unauthenticated remote vulnerability in Oracle E-Business Suite CRM Technical Foundation Preferences component allows attackers via HTTP to access or modify data without credentials. Exploitation requires human victim interaction (UI:R) and can impact additional products beyond the affected component due to scope change (S:C). Am I affected? How to checkSteps we derive from the advisory and the affected-version data, so you can decide whether this CVE reaches your setup. They are a guide, not a scan — your own configuration is the authority.

dbcve checks

Work through these to decide whether this CVE applies to you.

  1. Verify Oracle E-Business Suite installation
    Check if Oracle E-Business Suite is running in your environment by querying the application server for Oracle EBS web endpoints or checking for Oracle E-Business Suite processes/services
    Affected if Oracle E-Business Suite is not present, the system is not affected
  2. Determine Oracle Crm Technical Foundation version
    Access the Oracle E-Business Suite About page or query the database for the version of the Crm Technical Foundation component using SQL: SELECT version FROM applsys.fnd_product_installations WHERE product='Crm Technical Foundation';
    Affected if The installed version is 12.1.3 OR falls within range >= 12.2.3 through <= 12.2.10
  3. Check if Preferences component is accessible
    Attempt to access the Preferences component endpoint via HTTP (typically at /OA_HTML/req/cong or similar /OA_HTML/* paths related to CRM Preferences)
    Affected if The Preferences component responds without authentication or is reachable over the network without proper access controls
  4. Verify network exposure of Oracle EBS endpoints
    Review firewall rules, load balancer configurations, or web server access lists to determine if Oracle E-Business Suite HTTP ports (commonly 8000-8090) are exposed to untrusted networks
    Affected if Oracle E-Business Suite HTTP endpoints are accessible from untrusted networks without VPN or authentication proxy

Your environment is affected if Oracle E-Business Suite with Crm Technical Foundation version 12.1.3 or 12.2.3-12.2.10 is installed and its Preferences component is accessible over HTTP without proper authentication controls.
