Official description Straight from the sourceThe vendor's or NVD's own wording, published unedited. Authoritative, but often terse — it says what broke, rarely what to do.

NVD · unedited
Improper access control vulnerability in SS1 Ver.13.0.0.40 and earlier and Rakuraku PC Cloud Agent Ver.2.1.8 and earlier allows a remote attacker to bypass access restriction and download an arbitrary file of the directory where the product runs. As a result of exploiting this vulnerability with CVE-2023-22336 and CVE-2023-22344 vulnerabilities together, it may allow a remote attacker to execute an arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges by sending a specially crafted script to the affected device.

Technical summary Written by usOur analysis, written from the advisory, the CVSS vector and the affected-version data. It adds context the advisory leaves out, and never invents facts that are not in the source.

dbcve analysis · high confidence

Improper access control in SS1 Ver.13.0.0.40 and earlier and Rakuraku PC Cloud Agent Ver.2.1.8 and earlier allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to bypass access restrictions and download arbitrary files from the product's running directory, likely via path traversal. This file download capability can be chained with CVE-2023-22336 and CVE-2023-22344 to achieve remote code execution with SYSTEM privileges.

MitigationUpdate SS1 to a version newer than 13.0.0.40 and Rakuraku PC Cloud Agent to a version newer than 2.1.8 to remediate the improper access control vulnerability. If immediate patching is not feasible, restrict network access to the affected services.
