Official description Straight from the sourceThe vendor's or NVD's own wording, published unedited. Authoritative, but often terse — it says what broke, rarely what to do.

NVD · unedited
Path traversal vulnerability in SS1 Ver.13.0.0.40 and earlier and Rakuraku PC Cloud Agent Ver.2.1.8 and earlier allows a remote attacker to upload a specially crafted file to an arbitrary directory. As a result of exploiting this vulnerability with CVE-2023-22335 and CVE-2023-22344 vulnerabilities together, it may allow a remote attacker to execute an arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges by sending a specially crafted script to the affected device.

Technical summary Written by usOur analysis, written from the advisory, the CVSS vector and the affected-version data. It adds context the advisory leaves out, and never invents facts that are not in the source.

dbcve analysis · moderate confidence

A path traversal vulnerability in SS1 and Rakuraku PC Cloud Agent allows a remote attacker to upload specially crafted files to arbitrary directories via specially crafted file paths. When chained with CVE-2023-22335 and CVE-2023-22344, this enables remote code execution with SYSTEM-level privileges.

MitigationUpgrade SS1 to a version later than 13.0.0.40 and Rakuraku PC Cloud Agent to a version later than 2.1.8. Given the critical CVSS score and SYSTEM-level privilege escalation, prioritize patching immediately and verify no indicators of compromise exist.

Am I affected? How to checkSteps we derive from the advisory and the affected-version data, so you can decide whether this CVE reaches your setup. They are a guide, not a scan — your own configuration is the authority.

dbcve checks

Work through these to decide whether this CVE applies to you.

  1. Identify if SS1 is installed
Check for the presence of Dos Osaka Ss1 software on the system. Look for installed applications or running services related to SS1.
Affected if SS1 is installed and the version is 13.0.0.40 or earlier
  2. Identify if Rakuraku PC Cloud Agent is installed
Check for the presence of Dos Osaka Rakuraku PC Cloud Agent on the system. Look for installed applications or running services related to this product.
Affected if Rakuraku PC Cloud Agent is installed and the version is 2.1.8 or earlier
  3. Verify installed versions
Locate and read the version information for SS1 and Rakuraku PC Cloud Agent. This may be found in installed program details, about dialogs, or version files included with the software.
Affected if The installed version of either product falls within the affected range (SS1 <= 13.0.0.40 or Rakuraku PC Cloud Agent <= 2.1.8)
