Official description Straight from the sourceThe vendor's or NVD's own wording, published unedited. Authoritative, but often terse — it says what broke, rarely what to do.

NVD · unedited
WeKnora is an LLM-powered framework designed for deep document understanding and semantic retrieval. Prior to version 0.2.12, a broken access control vulnerability in the database query tool allows any authenticated tenant to read sensitive data belonging to other tenants, including API keys, model configurations, and private messages. The application fails to enforce tenant isolation on critical tables (models, messages, embeddings), enabling unauthorized cross-tenant data access with user-level authentication privileges. This issue has been patched in version 0.2.12.

Technical summary Written by usOur analysis, written from the advisory, the CVSS vector and the affected-version data. It adds context the advisory leaves out, and never invents facts that are not in the source.

dbcve analysis · high confidence

WeKnora versions before 0.2.12 have a broken access control vulnerability in the database query tool that fails to enforce tenant isolation. Authenticated users from one tenant can read sensitive data (API keys, model configurations, private messages) belonging to other tenants by accessing the models, messages, and embeddings tables without proper tenant-level authorization checks.

MitigationUpgrade to version 0.2.12 or later. Additionally, audit existing tenant data for unauthorized access and implement proper tenant isolation checks on all database queries accessing sensitive tables.

Am I affected? How to checkSteps we derive from the advisory and the affected-version data, so you can decide whether this CVE reaches your setup. They are a guide, not a scan — your own configuration is the authority.

dbcve checks

Work through these to decide whether this CVE applies to you.

  1. Identify Weknora version
Locate the installed Weknora version (check package.json, setup configuration, or run version command depending on deployment method)
Affected if version is present and less than 0.2.12
  2. Verify database query tool access
Determine if the database query tool interface is accessible to authenticated users (check enabled features, API endpoints, or admin UI configurations)
Affected if database query tool is accessible to non-admin users
  3. Examine tenant isolation on sensitive tables
Review database query logic or API handlers that access the models, messages, and embeddings tables for tenant ID validation
Affected if queries to models, messages, or embeddings tables lack tenant-level filtering or authorization checks

A user is affected if Weknora version is below 0.2.12 AND the database query tool is accessible to authenticated users AND tenant isolation is not enforced on queries to models, messages, or embeddings tables.

Interim mitigation

Upgrade to version 0.2.12 or later. Additionally, audit existing tenant data for unauthorized access and implement proper tenant isolation checks on all database queries accessing sensitive tables.

Recommended fix High confidence

0.2.12

  1. Upgrade Weknora to version 0.2.12 or later to obtain the security patch that fixes the tenant isolation vulnerability
  2. After upgrading, verify the database query tool now properly enforces tenant isolation on the models, messages, and embeddings tables
  3. Test that authenticated tenants can no longer access data belonging to other tenants, including API keys, model configurations, and private messages
